PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS
PNG Experience runs photography tours to Tufi, Madang and the East Sepik regions.
Custom photography tours are also catered for and may include multi-region expeditions.
These tours include guidance by a renowned, professional photographer with multiple PNG tours experience. Photographers are also welcome on any of our other tours, as PNG offers constant opportunities for world class photography.
Tufi Photography (8 days)
From AUD $4,200
This tour includes 6 nights at the remote Tufi Resort. Daily tours take you on a remarkable journey about Tufi’s majestic fjord and mountain landscape.
Cultural experiences are offered in abundance on this tour.
East Sepik Photography (9 days)

The cultural hub of PNG in so many ways, the East Sepik offers an abundance of photographic highlights.
Notably, the middle Sepik River villages are a must-see, allowing you to step back in time.
Primitivve rituals and access to artisans and tribal architecture are among the highlights.
Madang Photography (11 days)
From AUD $4,900
For a more intimate and relaxed experience, our Madang Photography tour includes accommodation at two resorts and access to multiple villages.
Internationally renowned pottery, traditional dance and artisans at work are in cluded in your photographic journey.
Some of PNG’s most beautiful island, land and seascape is also explored.
Madang Photography Tour itinerary
Day 1- Early morning (8:00 a.m) meet at Jackson’s Airport Domestic terminal in readiness for the flight to Madang. Arrive in Madang 10:40 a.m and settle in to the Madang Lodge. Afternoon tour of Madang town and the Madang Cultural Centre.
Day 2- Morning visit to Bilbil Village for a cultural experience, followed by beautiful Balek Sanctuary. Afternoon relaxation at Madang Lodge.
Day 3- Island visits to three local islands, including Krangket Lagoon and Pig Island.
Day 4- Early rise to capture sunset. Breakfast at Coastwatcher’s Hotel, then town market visit for an opportunity to photograph the daily lives of the Madang population. Afternoon relaxation and workshops at Madang Lodge.
Day 5- Drive the North Coast Road, with stops at Nobanob and Jais Aben for landscape photography.
Day 6- Full day at Krangket Lagoon, including school and villages for multiple photographic opportunities. Landscape, seascape, portraiture.
Day 7- Rest day, with morning workshop.
Day 8- Focus on local artisans. Wood carvers, bilum weavers.
Day 9- Restful morning and afternoon, with mid-day workshop at Madang Lodge.
Day 10- Free day to do final explorations or relax in Madang.
Day 11- Early morning flight from Madang to Port Moresby, as the PNG Experience concludes.
